Automatic Thumbnailing

If you have the GD Library installed it will automatically thumbnail for you.

GD Library? GD Library is something you will need installed on your server. Your webhost or server administrator installs this for you. If you do not have it installed, then it will not thumbnail your images you upload and just use the images you upload.

I personally don't even know how to exactly install the GD Library.

If your host doesn't have GD installed, ask them to install it (It's installed on almost every half-decent host). To install GD you need root access, which you won't have on a shared account ;).
